*The Red Cross Society of Phu Tho ward in TDM city has just mobilized and donated 150 gifts worth VND300,000 each, including rice, instant noodle…, to the poor, the disabled and orphan children across the ward.
This was one of practical activities done by the local Red Cross Society to encourage needy people to step by step overcome difficulties and rise up in daily life.

Among the recipients, there are 7 preschool pupils, 17 primary school pupils, 8 secondary school pupils and 4 high school ones with difficult circumstances. It is known that all won the titles of “good pupil” and “Uncle Ho’s Obedient Child” for many consecutive years.
Each pupil was presented a scholarship worth VND300,000 each and 10 notebooks. The total value of the program was estimated at more than VND11mln, funded by Buddhist nun Phap Nhu, Chief of provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board, Head of Tay Thien pagoda in Dong Hoa ward and Hoang Phuoc bookstore.
*On the occasion of the 2014 mid-autumn festival, Phu Giao district will organize 11 delegations to visit and present 600 mid-autumn gifts worth VND300,000 each to children with extremely difficult circumstances across the district on September 2 (August 12 of lunar calendar).
This year, the People’s Committee of Phuoc Vinh township has been selected as a unit to organize the 2014 full-moon festive night of Phu Giao district with many significant activities, including folk games, lion-unicorn-dragon dance, art performance…
