Speeding up law dissemination among women
After five years of implementing the movements “Women helping each other in economic development”, TDM town Women’s Unions at all levels have mobilized 2,886 well-off women to offer help to 5,985 poor ones with more than VND15bln. They have also helped nearly 40,000 poor women to get more than VND66bln in loan to develop home based business. So far, there have been 1,024 local women escaping poverty.
Tan An communal Women’s Union branch has been seen as the best branch of the TDM town Women’s Union. Between 2006 and 2011, it has mobilized 72 well-off women to assist 439 poor ones with nearly VND700mln while disbursing nearly VND500mln in loan for 240 women to develop home based business.
With many practical activities, TDM town Women’s union has absorbed more members. Currently, the whole town has 74% of women aged 18 and above taking part in activities of the local Women’s Unions at all levels. The local Women’s Unions at all levels have also helped women raise their knowledge in all aspects and helped them how to develop home based business and ensure a happy family life…
