Teacher Ngo Thi Le Mi, who is the former principal of Tan Hiep elementary school in Phu Giao district, retired in 2010. After tens of dedication to the education sector, she still does not want to rest. The reason is that she wants to help poor pupils in rural areas to go to school. Therefore, she is now Phu Giao district Studying Encouragement Society’s standing Vice Chairwoman.

She usually goes to rural areas to set up activities. At each new school year beginning, she collaborates with schools, local government on persuading people to carry out studying encouraging movements. As a result, Phu Giao district can maintain a education encouraging community in Kinh Nhuong parish, the number of studious families increases every year.
After 3 years, Ms. Mi has made important contributions to studying encouraging movements in Phu Giao. Every day, she travels to schools to find out and support poor pupils by mobilizing contributions from benefactors. During the first 6 months of 2014, she and agencies mobilized over VND294mln, awarded scholarships to 1,317 pupils.
She said, work is a pleasure to her. She felt happy, when disadvantaged pupils were supported by many people. She wished she would always be healthy to help taking care of young generation.
