A delegation from provincial Red Cross Society, its Volunteers’ Club and provincial Buddhist Sangha, on Jan.22, visited and presented Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each to policy beneficiaries, poor people, Agent Orange victims and blind people across the province.

Particularly, the delegation donated 110 gifts to Ben Cat district’s Society for the Blind, 58 gifts to provincial Society for the Blind, 100 gifts to poor people in TDM town’s Tuong Binh Hiep commune, 70 gifts to poor people in Thuan An district’s Hung Dinh commune, 22 gifs to poor people in Tan Uyen district’s Tan Phuoc Khanh township. The total cost of these gifts was estimated at VND108mln funded by Hien Dat Co.Ltd., Nhan Nghia Co.Ltd., Nhat Thong Co.Ltd. and Minh Long I Co.Ltd.
Under the “Tet for the poor, the blind and Agent Orange victims” program 2011, provincial Red Cross Society, its Volunteers’ Club and provincial Buddhist Sangha, on Jan.23, visited and presented 250 Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each to poor ethnic minority households in two districts of Loc Ninh, Chon Thanh in the southern province of Binh Phuoc. The total cost of these gifts was estimated at VND75mln, mobilized from Venerable Thich Thien Hi, head of Nhut Nguyen pagoda in Thuan An district’s Vinh Phu commune and nun Thich nu Ngoc Bich, head of Phuoc Thien pagoda in Ben Cat district’s Chanh Phu Hoa commune.
Prior to that, the delegation also visited and gave 200 Tet gifts worth VND350,000 each for poor ethnic minority people in Ham Thuan Bac district’s Thuan Minh commune in the central province of Binh Thuan. These gifts will contribute to helping the local poor people enjoy a cozy and significant Tet.
