The representative board of TDM town’s Chinese community has just visited and presented 85 Tet gifts worth nearly VND30mln to 85 needy households in TDM town’s Chanh Nghia ward. Prior to that, this representative board also sent Tet gifts worth VND30mln to provincial Red Cross Society to donate them to the poor.
*On Jan.22, Long Buu Charity General Hospital in Thuan An district donated more than 800 Tet gifts, including cash, instant noodle, sugar, milk…, to disabled people, orphans and poor patients at open houses and social support centers in and out of the province. The total cost of these gifts was contributed by businesses and donors in and out of the province with the hope of bringing disable people, orphans and poor patients a cozy Tet.
* The Red Cross Society of Thai Hoa township in Tan Uyen district has also just presented Tet gifts, including rice, sugar, cooking oil, seasoning powder, to 100 needy households. These gifts were sponsored by the family of Nguyen Thanh Nhon, an overseas Vietnamese who is living in the United States and a charity group of traditional medicine in Thai Hoa township.
It is expected that the township’s Red Cross Society will also donate 150 Tet gifts to the lonely elderly and disable children, according to society chairman Le Van Hat.
