Early Jan.26, provincial Red Cross Society and its Volunteers’Club visited and presented 461 Tet gifts to the Moi Nuoc Social Support Center, provincial General Hospital, provincial Center for the Disabled and Orphans and provincial Center for the Lonely Elderly. The total cost of these gifts was more than VND100mln, funded by Asia Commercial Bank’s Binh Duong Branch.
Prior to that, the delegation visited and donated 616 Tet gifts worth between VND300,000 and VND570,000 each to needy households in Phu Giao district’s Phuoc Hoa commune; policy beneficiaries, poor people and officials of Phu Giao district’s Association for the Blind; officials and members of Tan Uyen district’s Association for the Blind; poor households in Tan My commune; poor households in Tan Uyen district’s Thuong Tan and Lac An communes.
The delegation also handed over a compassion house to Nguyen Thi Vy, a poor resident in hamlet 1A, Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Giao district. The total cost of the house was VND35mln, including VND20mln from former provincial Party Secretary, former Honorable Chairman of provincial Red Cross Society Nguyen Minh Duc and the remainder from provincial Red Cross Society and her family.
*Early Jan.26, the People’s Committee of Phu My ward in TDM town presented 400 Tet gifts worth VND200,000 each, including rice, confectionary, softdrink…to the local poor people. A charity group of Pham Thuy Duong in TDM town also donated 50 Tet gifts to poor people in the ward, helping them enjoy the upcoming Tet festival.
*On the morning of the same day, Hung Vuong Insurance Joint Stock Co. visited and presented 30 Tet gifts worth nearly VND500,000 each to needy households in Thuan An district’s An Son commune (photo). This is a social charity activity regularly done by the company, showing the company’s responsibility to the community. It is known that the company is located at the Binh Duong Trade Center.
*On the occasion of the 2011 Tet festival, Tan Thinh Trading-Service-Travel Co.Ltd. visited and presented Tet gifts, including 200 boxes of various beverages, to prisoners at the Ministry of Public Security’s An Phuoc Prison in Phu Giao district. This is the fourth consecutive years the company has visited and donated Tet gifts to prisoners at the An Phuoc Prison.
