On days near Tet holiday,
we came to rural and remote areas of the province to take a snapshot of Tet
preparation of local people who decorate their home with ornaments, flowers,
and plants. People also prepare foods for the season all across the streets and
pathways.
People in poverty share a
warm-hearted and joyful Tet holiday
It was not a hustle season but local people enjoyed the Tet holiday to the fullest. They even went on tours to pagodas and places. Thanks to the care of local authority and the society as a whole, people in poverty across the localities enjoyed better Tet.
One week before Tet, charity societies and organizations have paid gift visits to people in poverty. Gifts and money were donated.
For this year, 30 households in poverty and 140 households on verge of poverty in Lac An Commune, Tan Uyen District were supported by local People’s Committee and kind-hearted people.
“We are distressed by poverty but every year, the supporting gifts and money have helped us,” said Mrs. Le Thi Phin, a local people rated as living in poor conditions.
Companies, enterprises, and establishments have also offered gifts to people in poverty. Of 800 gifts presented, Kim Oanh Real Estates and Appartment Joint Stock Company has paid out approximately VND 230 million as meaningful gifts on Tet holiday.
Those days of Tet have passed by but the spring atmosphere is still in the air to promote a modern and civilized rural localities for the poor.
