In recent days, provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with local Red Cross branches, has organized the 2024 “Tet of kindness” program and awarded scholarships to students with difficult circumstances.
In Thuan An city, with the motto of "No one is left behind" during the Tet holiday, provincial RCS awarded 20 scholarships worth VND 5 million each to students in need. Thuan An city’s Red Cross Society mobilized and distributed 500 "Tet of kindness” gifts to poor households, people with disabilities, victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and those with difficult circumstances. The total value of the Tet gifts and scholarships exceeded VND 850 million.
At the program, leaders of Thuan An city expressed their gratitude to provincial Red Cross Society and donors for supporting the local implementation of the "Tet of kindness” movement. This timely support encouraged and motivated the poor and vulnerable groups, helping them have better conditions to celebrate the spring and welcome the Tet holiday.
On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Society presented a symbolic cheque of VND 280 million to Thuan An city’s Red Cross Society to implement activities in the "Tet of kindness" movement in the area.
Tan Uyen city’s Red Cross Society, in collaboration with donors, organized the distribution of 105 "Tet of kindness” gifts for people with difficult circumstances. Each gift was worth VND 1 million, consisting of essential goods and VND 500,000 in cash. These gifts were sponsored by Viet Lien Chemical Company, through the efforts of the city's Red Cross Society, with a total value of VND 105 million.
