On December 26 and 27, at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center was the 11th Congress of Women in Binh Duong Province for the 2021-2026 tenure. Attending the congress was Ms. Do Thi Thu Thao, Deputy President of the Vietnamese Association of Women. On the side of the province, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and leaders of units, localities, leaders of the provincial Association of Women of all times and 189 representatives representing all members in grassroots organizations in the province attended.
Always accompanying women and children, the report at the congress marked the association's practical movements on taking care of the rights of women and children. During the last term, the Women's Union at all levels has well organized the implementation of the guidelines and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State; to strive and actively respond to emulation movements and campaigns launched by all levels, branches and associations to become typical examples and typical collectives in all fields.
The campaigns have achieved many practical results through models suitable for each locality. The association's activities have also drastically been renewed in terms of contents and mode of operation to increase the initiative and creativity for the establishment; to promote effective models to take good care of women, children and female workers. The Association has facilitated comprehensive women's development and raising the status of women in all fields. Women's Unions at all levels have been proactive and responsive in supporting women to start-up businesses and develop their economies and coordinated to support 1,400 businesses owned or managed by women and carried out many activities of counseling, job introduction, connecting product consumption, establishing cooperatives etc. to help women improve their income and escape poverty and get rich legitimately.

The province currently has 686 savings and loan groups to support all 1,710 female heads of households to get out of poverty. At the end of the term, 231,768 families met the criteria of "5 no, 3 clean", 797 flowery routes of self-governing women in the direction of green - clean – beautiful, 8,997 turns of female heads of poor households in the target of every year at 89% or more female workers have jobs.
Particularly in 2021, the profound imprint of the Women's Union is also reflected in its active participation in election activities for the 15th National Assembly and all levels of the People's Council for the 2021-2026 term; the study and implementation of the Resolution of the 11th provincial Party Congress, the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, and the organization of the district and grassroots women's congresses for the 2021-2026 term. In particular, the Women's Union has gathered and brought together women to promote their intelligence, emotions and efforts, accompanying the whole political system and the whole people to repel the COVID-19 epidemic and promote social welfare for a premise for the province's economic and social development in the new normal.
Ms. Truong Thanh Nga, Chairwoman of the provincial Women's Union, said that, with the theme of "Solidarity - Responsibility - Creativity - Development", the congress set out the goals of solidarity, creativity, and capacity building of the organizations, strongly renovate the contents and modes of operation, increase the initiative and creativity of the grassroots, promote effective models to take good care of female workers, focus on taking care of women, children in difficult circumstances.
All towards a civilized and prosperous province
For the term 2021-2026, all levels of associations strive for 100% of staff, 90% of members, and 80% of women to be propagated the contents of the emulation movement of "Binh Duong women are healthy, knowledgeable and bright, responsible”. Every year, 100% of the association's staff and over 90% of its female members are propagated and disseminated the Party's guidelines and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, the resolutions of the superior associations and local regulations. Each year, 5 more households can be helped to achieve the criteria of "Family of 5 no, 3 clean", 1,500 households met 8 criteria of the campaign and 80% of disabled women were helped by associations at all levels.
The congress identified two breakthroughs in the next term of improving the knowledge and skills of union officials at all levels in applying information technology in the association's activities and accompanying the association while promoting the role of the staff of the branch and the women's groups.
Ms. Do Thi Thu Thao on behalf of leaders of the Central Association praised the achievements of Women's Unions at all levels in Binh Duong province in recent years. Faced with difficulties and challenges posed by natural disasters and epidemics, the Women's Union at all levels for the 2021-2026 term needs to have flexible adaptation directions to contribute to concretizing the Resolution of the 11th provincial Party Congress and Development Strategy of the Vietnam Women's Union to 2030 with vision to 2035.
Agreeing with the direction and tasks of the association's work and the women's movement in the next 5 years, Ms. Thu Thao suggested that the provincial Women's Union continue to research and propose effective solutions to bring the association's work and movement to life of women in Binh Duong province to achieve many good results, contributing to making Binh Duong province a civilized and modern city.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation, noted that entering a new era, despite great opportunities and advantages, many challenges posed to the work of associations and the women's movement. The COVID-19 epidemic and its negative impacts continue to linger as the 4th industrial revolution develops strongly to create breakthroughs in many fields that directly affect employment, income, and lives of people and women; the quality of human resources is still low, the lives of a part of women, especially rural women and workers are still in difficulties. Therefore, the task set for the provincial Women's Union is very important.
The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee requested the provincial Women's Union to thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 11th provincial Party Congress and the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Committee; to strongly direct activities to the grassroots, especially in industrial zones, clusters, hostels, taking the happiness and interests of women as the goal, taking the satisfaction of women as the quality and efficiency of operations. The Binh Duong women's movement must be placed in the context of an industrially developed province and is moving towards building a smart city and further promoting the strength of women and jointly participating in the construction and development of the province. He also suggested that Party committees and authorities at all levels focus on training, contributing to building a contingent of female leaders and managers to meet development requirements in the new situation.
