During two days Jan 16 and 17, Vietnam – Singapore industrial park (VSIP) Management Board in collaboration with VSIP Joint Venture Limited Company, and VSIP Trade Union held the 13th VSIP Charity Day, donated $50,000 to "VSIP Charity Fund" (photo).
The event took place in 2 days with many exciting activities, such as: fairs, folk games, charity concert, VSIP elegant male - female workers final round. Provincial leadership, management board, VSIP staff, and thousands of workers from nearly 300 companies operating in VSIP took part in the day.
All donations from the day were contributed to VSIP Charity Fund to carry out charitable activities, like: building charity houses for poor households in the province, giving scholarships to children of VSIP workers in difficult circumstances, families with special circumstances in the province.
At the opening ceremony, 30 scholarships were given to poor studious students, 100 gifts were given to workers in difficult circumstances, a cheque worth 20 million VND was given to Thuan An disabled children sponsoring and educating center.
This was the 2nd that VSIP Charity Day organized a Charity Walk with the participation of more than 1,000 volunteers as customers, partners and VSIP Joint Venture Company. The walk was 3.5km long around some roads in VSIP 1, sending a message of ““Healthy living and sharing love" to the community.
