Recently, provincial Association of Farmers has just held a contest of farmers and environment protection with enthusiastic participation of teams of districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City in a bid to improve awareness of basic matters of Law on Environment Protection in real life while strengthening the association.
According to Nguyen Hoang Vinh, the President of provincial Association of Farmers, the contest is a part of the association activities and the implementation plan of sub-project number 3 on mobilizing the participation of farmers in communication, dissemination, and propaganda for law observation in rural areas. The association has organized the contest with on-stage plays and visual approaches to improve the dissemination quality and education of laws to the associate members and officers. The participating teams by their well preparation presented 3 contesting contents of multiple-choice questions, questions and answers, and on-stage plays on matters related to Law on Environment Protection 2014, the decrees, circulars and resolutions of the government related to the legal documents.

The stories related in the plays presented by the participating teams showed the visual and familiar image of farmers with their gardens and farms. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh of Binh Nham Ward Association of workers, said: “The contest is lively organized as environment issues are of great public concerns. We are offered more knowledge by the contest so that we can disseminate such knowledge to local people for them to be more aware of environment protection.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Banh Quoc Trung of Bau Bang District Association of Farmers said with delight: “The contest helps association members to be more knowledgeable of laws, by which, they will carry out dissemination to farmers in related matters. Many farmers in Bau Bang District fail to grasp up the importance of environment protection. Thus, the contest is to help them understand and observe the laws in better manner.”
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Vinh added: “Active role of associations of farmers hs been confirmed in exchanging of knowledge and experience to make farmers more aware of environment protection in real life, contributing to a better society of modernity and beauty.”
