Yesterday morning of August 30, Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province solemnly organized a meeting to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

In the solemn atmosphere of the gathering, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Member of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Permanent Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech recalling the heroic revolutionary tradition of the nation. The speech affirmed: The great victory of the August Revolution in Vietnam, including Binh Duong province, was the victory of the indomitable will, the determination not to be enslaved; it was the victory of the spirit of great unity, mobilizing the comprehensive strength of the entire people. The August Revolution in Thu Dau Mot is a part of the general uprising led by CPV, which is a direct result of the national liberation movement during the period of 1939-1945, the result of the revolutionary movement process throughout from 1930 when the CPV was founded.

After 15 years of fighting full of sacrifice and hardship, overcoming countless difficulties and challenges, regardless of the terrorism and slaughter of the enemy, the communists in Thu Dau Mot province have persisted, firmly attached to the masses; tirelessly mobilizing and leading the working class, farmers, and ethnic people in uprisings, notably during the 1930-1931, 1936-1939 movements, and in the Southern Uprising in 1940. Those struggles were truly rehearsals for the general uprising in August 1945.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, former member of the Politburo, former President; Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Central Party Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the provincial National Assembly delegation; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao, Standing Deputy Party Secretary of the province; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Standing Committee member of the provincial Party Committee, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee with leaders, former provincial leaders through different periods; heroic armed forces, veteran revolutionary officials; leaders of agencies, departments, organizations.
Under the leadership of the provincial Party committee, over the past 79 years, the government of Thu Dau Mot - Binh Duong province has marked the process of construction and development in various historical stages, being dynamic, creative, and always maintaining its nature as a revolutionary authority of the people.

With the viewpoint of rapid, comprehensive but sustainable development, emphasizing depth in all fields; in the short term, the Party, the government and the people of the province will strive to fulfill the targets of the 2024 plan to make a breakthrough for 2025, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Mai Hung Dung emphasized that, in order to successfully achieve the above-mentioned objectives and tasks, it is necessary to actively create achievements to welcome major holidays and important political events of the country and the province in 2024-2025, to welcome the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 tenure, the 12th provincial Party congress, and to move towards the 14th national Party congress. The provincial Party Committee decides to launch the "Special Emulation for 400 Days and Nights", with the spirit of "Everyone competes, every sector competes"; applying Ho Chi Minh's ideology on patriotic competition to excellently fulfill tasks, in order to "win the Party's heart and gain people's trust".

Based on that, based on the theme of the competition of the term 2020-2025 that the Central has launched "Unity, Creativity, Competition for Building and Protecting the Fatherland", in the remaining time of 2024 and the 2020-2025 tenure, on the basis of the tasks of each level, each sector, locality, agency, and unit.
The 400-day and night emulation movement is divided into 3 stages: Stage 1, from September 2, 2024 to April 30, 2025; Stage 2, from May 1 to September 30, 2025; Stage 3, from October 1 to December 31, 2025. The emulation targets for the collective include Party committees under the Provincial Party Committee, Party Executive Committees, Party unions, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and political and social organizations from the province to the grassroots level; The personal composition includes officials, party members, armed forces soldiers, workers, youth union members, union members, business owners, and people in the province. The content of the competition is to promote the patriotic movement in all fields, especially the creative and daring competition for the common interest and the development of the province.
On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the provincial Party Committee of Binh Duong province has awarded and presented Party badges to 491 Party members. At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee organized the awarding of Party badges to 12 Party members who were former provincial leaders during different stages. This is the Party's recognition of the tireless, responsible, significant, and effective contributions of loyal party members in the struggle for national liberation, unity of the country, as well as in the construction and defense of the Fatherland in general, the construction and development of Song Be province, and Binh Duong province in particular.
