Linked hearts
From hearts of people involving in social sponsor work, retired people like Ho Minh Phuong, Huynh Kim Oanh, Le Thi Hiep silently mobilize collectives, individuals to help the disabled. They arrive at businesses and organizations to mobilize and link charity hearts with the unlucky.
In 2012, all level mass bodies mobilized over VND7.6bil to help over 55,000 turns of disabled people, orphans and poor patients. On the 2012 International Day of People with Disability, the provincial society for disabled people, orphans and poor patients received nearly VND2bil from donors.
Thanks to this money, the society held an assistance project for disabled people in Binh An commune, Di An town, Ben Cat’s Long Nguyen commune as well as granted 10 charity houses and 400 gifts to people with disability.
In addition, all level agencies and sectors organized significant deeds to help the disabled and orphans integrate into the community.
Overcoming destiny
With the purpose of offering necessary knowledge and placing job as well as helping the disabled stabilize life and integrate into the community, the provincial Center for Vocational Training for Disabled People has completed its mission. The good deeds have helped disabled people enjoy stable jobs.
For instance, Nguyen Van Ngao met a traffic accident in 2004, resulting in losing his right arm. After that he joined in a vocational training class on silk printing. At present, Ngao is a professional silk printing worker with a monthly income of VND2mil. Meanwhile, Phan Minh Tri, despite disabled life, has managed to possess a household electric repair shop at Hiep Thanh 1 residential area, Thu Dau Mot city.
And, Tran Van Than – a good visually-impaired person in production of Dau Tieng district has created a big property with a wide house and a 1.5ha rubber plantation, bringing an annual income of nearly VND300mil.
There are many people with disability managing to overcome difficulties for the sake of stabilizing life and integrating into the community.
