43 years after the liberation day, education and training (ET) sector of Binh Duong province developed continuously. Education does not stop at improving people's intellectual level, but also has the mission of training human resources for the cause of industrialization - modernization of the country. In recent years, the sector has recorded remarkable achievements in their cause, when education works have developed both in terms of quantity and quality.
Real quality
One of outstanding achievements of ET sector in recent years is the quality of students at all levels. In the last 2 years, ET sector made new milestone, because provincial students achieved high prizes at national excellent students’ exam. Namely, at the national 12th-grade excellent students’ exam in 2017, Binh Duong students won 15 prizes, including 1 second prize; in 2018 won 24 prizes, with 4 second prizes, 7 third prizes and 13 consolation prizes. At the national science and technology competition in the South, they also won many prizes in the last 2 years, and were appreciated by Ministry of Education-Training.

Students also competed in provincial competitions, such as: Luong The Vinh math award, Sao Khue literature award, excellent students at province-level. Each contest had hundreds participants. Results of these competitions demonstrated the dedication of teachers, and the passion of students for conquering new knowledge.
Dedication to students is also to fulfill social responsibility. The quality of provincial ET sector was confirmed by the national high school exam. After 3 years of renovation, the quality of provincial education has met expectations of the whole society. Only in 2017, 99.88% of high school students graduated from high schools. In addition high graduation rate, marks above floor mark at university entrance exam reached 81.28%; The province has over 75% of students admitted to universities and colleges.
Various quality enhancement solutions
To improve the quality of education, in recent years, ET sector in the province set out the motto: "Real teaching, real learning, real quality”, and followed this direction. In addition, the sector also implemented effective solutions. According to Nguyen Hong Sang, Director of Department of Education and Training, the department directed schools to innovate teaching and learning methods in order to promote learners’ activeness, initiative, creativity and use of knowledge and skills. To secondary education, the sector continued to innovate synchronously teaching-learning methods, renew the examination and evaluation of students' learning and training results in the direction of capacity development; enhance practical skills, apply knowledge and skills to solve practical problems.
For the national high school exam, the department cooperated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogics and Hanoi University of Pedagogics to foster skills in composing questions and matrix tests, teaching skills in the form of multiple-choice tests. From the beginning of this school year, Department of Education and Training drastically directed schools to work out plans and have effective solutions for 12th grade students to review knowledge; organized research, develops multiple-choice tests for teaching and learning in schools; organized trial testing at the end of the year to help students have opportunities to practice in the form of new examinations.
With a focus on quality, Department of Education and Training instructed schools to detect gifted students for further cultivation. In addition, the department united with some provinces in good student training, and advised provincial leaders to support students and teachers participating in good student training. From this method, in the last 2 years, the province had many students winning prizes at national and regional excellent students’ contests.
The development of the society demands adequate education system to heighten people's knowledge, train human resources, and serve the cause of industrialization and modernization of the province. Owing to the dedication of teachers, the quality of student output has been affirmed, satisfied social requirements and been the pride of the whole ET sector.
