Before the Communist Party of Vietnam was born, Vietnam was immersed in long nights of slavery. With the spirit of patriotism, our people rose up against the oppression and exploitation of the colonial and feudal regimes, but due to the lack of a correct direction, many struggles failed. In that historical context, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh traveled around the world to find a way to save the country and found in Marxism-Leninism, the path of proletarian revolution which, according to him, was the only way to save the country and liberate the nation...
On February 3, 1930, in Kowloon (Hong Kong, China), under the chairmanship of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, the conference to unify three communist organizations in Vietnam took place, leading to the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The first Platform of the Party was adopted, defining the basic path of the Vietnamese revolution, becoming the flag to rally, unite and unify revolutionary forces and the entire nation. Under the leadership of the Party, our people united to create great strength, bringing the Vietnamese revolutionary boat through countless storms to the shore of glory. Every spring, our country wins new victories. The Party and the people created brilliant historical milestones, writing golden pages with indelible marks. The Party and the entire people rose up to break the shackles of slavery, creating the August Revolution in 1945, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first Workers' and Peasants' State in Southeast Asia; bringing our people from the status of slaves to the status of masters. Next, the Party led our army and people to achieve a feat that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the earth." During the 20 years of the resistance war against the US, under the leadership of the Party, millions of our soldiers and people in the North and South "Cut through Truong Son to save the country", creating the pinnacle of the Great Victory in Spring 1975, liberating the South, unifying the country, North and South reunited as one, steadily moving towards socialism...

Faced with new requirements in the process of national development, our Party proposed and implemented a policy of comprehensive national renewal. After nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation process under the leadership of the Party, our country overcame many difficulties and achieved great and historic achievements.

From a poor, war-torn, besieged and isolated country, Vietnam has now become a developing country with average income, deeply integrated into world politics and the global economy. The size of the national economy in 2024 reached over 470 billion USD, ranking 32nd in the world and among the top 20 economies in terms of trade and foreign investment attraction. People's lives have improved significantly; the poverty rate has decreased sharply, now only 1.93% (according to multidimensional standards) compared to 60% in 1986. Political, economic, cultural, social, scientific - technological, national defense and security potential is constantly enhanced. For 95 springs, the Party has guided and supported us, enabling the Vietnamese people to overcome numerous hardships and challenges. We have achieved significant and historic victories, establishing ourselves as a nation with a solid foundation, great potential, and a respected position on the international stage. These remarkable accomplishments demonstrate that our Party is the driving force of the nation. It resides in the hearts of the people, continuing to grow and lead us as we work towards elevating our country.
