It is the result of evaluating the role and effectiveness of policy credit after 5 years of implementing the sustainable poverty reduction goal for the period of 2015-2020 in the province. Accordingly, in the past 5 years, the policy credit programs operated by the Provincial Social Policy Bank have helped more than 10,000 households out of poverty and near-poverty have capital to develop production, business and raise incomes. Besides, from these programs, new jobs were created for nearly 54,000 laborers, helping 3,913 turns of pupils and students in difficult circumstances to get loans to study; building nearly 80,000 clean water and sanitation works, contributing to improving the quality of life of people and building new rural areas in the province.
By the end of March 2020, the total outstanding loans for the above-mentioned policy credit programs reached nearly VND 2,942 billion, up 163% compared to the end of 2015; The average loan growth rate reached 32.6% annually with more than 71,000 outstanding customers. Over the past 5 years, policy credit programs operated by the Provincial Social Policy Bank have focused mainly on credit programs such as lending to poor and near-poor households, newly escaping from poverty; clean water and environmental sanitation; loans for small and medium enterprise development.
