Pride of a 50-year tradition
Thai Hoa High School is located in An Thanh neighborhood of Thai Hoa ward, formerly known as Tan Ba provincial high school established in 1972. In the early days of its establishment, the school only had 2 grade 6 with a Board of Directors. The school consisted of 1 principal and 3 teachers. In 1975, the school changed its name to Tan Ba Secondary School. In 1978, the school was merged with Tan Ba High School to form Tan Ba junior high school. In the school year of 982-1983, Tan Uyen district established Thai Hoa high school. In the 2011-2012 school year, the school officially took the name Thai Hoa High School. Over 50 years of establishment and development with many different names, but however the name, teachers and students of the school always maintain outstanding achievements in the career of education.
Having had the opportunity to meet and talk with Truong Van Phuoc - former Principal of the school, we can partly imagine the hard time of the school in the early days of its establishment. Phuoc recalled as he returned to the school in 1982 of lacking at that time. The school has to face many problems from the narrow space to playgrounds, training grounds, classrooms, and functional rooms. The school was located close to the road, right at the junction full of traffic noise, so the honking horn greatly affected the educational activities of the school. The problem is such, but the efforts of the teachers make the school's educational work constantly developing strongly with pride.
“I am a lucky person who has been teaching and managing at Thai Hoa High School for over 30 years (1982-2012). I feel very proud of what teachers and students at Thai Hoa High School have built over the past 50 years in a long and arduous journey with seemingly insurmountable challenges,” said Phuoc.
Having been with the school for a long time, Nguyen Van Thanh said: “For 18 years, the school has really become my second home. I tell myself that I will always try harder to be able to meet the expectations of students not to disappoint the expectations of their parents and society to contribute to making the school to be more and more developed in the future.”

From the place of only 2 classes and 3 teachers in the early days of establishment, in the school year 2022-2023, Thai Hoa High School has 21 classes with 831 students. The school's facilities are spacious and modern, fully meeting the requirements of teaching and learning. Tran Anh Thu, a student of grade 12.6, said: “As a student of Thai Hoa High School, I feel very honored and proud to be able to study and grow up under a school with a very good history. The dedication of the teachers and the school's efforts are the great motivation for us to try our best on the path of knowledge conquest. We promise to do our best to live up to the school's tradition."
According to Dinh, in order to continue to affirm the achievements of the 50-year-old school, in the coming time, the school will continue to invest in upgrading facilities, equipping equipment and teaching aids to improve the quality of teaching hours, strengthen the application of information technology, innovate teaching methods, and innovate testing and evaluation for students.
