Accordingly, the Department of Health requires the system of drug retailers to strictly comply with the standard "Good practice of drug retail establishments", Circular No. 52/2017 / TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health on prescriptions and prescribing pharmaceutical drugs and biologicals in outpatient treatment, only prescribing drugs when patients have prescription drugs; In case of selling over-the-counter medicines, retail staff should complete all steps of the process of selling drugs, information, advice, instructions for using over-the-counter medicines, and clearly state the patient's medical history. In the case of patients with symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, pharmacies, drugstores need electronic medical declaration instructions or contact the nearest medical facility for assistance. Drug-retailing establishments shall have to report to functional health agencies or via hotlines to conduct patient monitoring and supervision.
Recently, the province's health sector has been constantly promoting connectivity between pharmacies and drugstores in the area according to the roadmap, regularly checking and post-examining the maintenance of implementation of standards and prevention and control of epidemics in pharmacies, drugstores in the area.
