Volunteer work of Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League has been contributing to the implementation of the goal of building Binh Duong into a civilized and modern city.

It can be said that, thanks to the timely change in the goals, contents and modes of operations that are close to the socio-economic development goals, the natural resources movement in the whole province has a new vitality to create a pervasive effect. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth’s League of the province and the youths of Binh Duong are proud of their certain contributions through the movement with the constant innovation, creativity, and spreading of many values, good models, and effective methods.
The volunteer movement of constructing urban civilization attracts majority of youths
Over the past 20 years, the province's young volunteer summer campaign has gathered a large number of young people from rural to urban areas, student volunteer teams, medical teams, young doctors, entrepreneurs, young workers etc. to maximize the human resources, expertise and knowledge of young people participating in volunteer activities. The spirit of unity was carried out by the Youth’s League at all levels through the implementation of the model of coalition including youth forces, the police and the military in the province in volunteer activities to build new countryside and urban civilization.
In addition, the summer volunteering also includes "compassionate trip – the journey for community health" and "youths of Binh Duong towards the homeland and islands"; At the same time, 10 teams of union members and students volunteering at provincial and district-level Public Administration Centers are regularly maintained to join the authorities to guide and support people in settling administrative procedures.
To construct new rural area and civilized urbanity
Talking about the youth volunteer movements of Binh Duong, it is impossible not to mention the volunteer activities of joining hands to build new rural areas. Over the past years, the Youth’s League at all levels in the province have paid attention to speeding up the implementation of the criteria for building new rural areas shown by the good implementation of the project of "Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union participating in building new rural areas". Accordingly, Youth’s League members from all over the province participated in repairing streets, concreting rural roads, clearing roads, and establishing new places and children's playgrounds. Only in 2020, Youth’s League members at all levels have participated in cleaning up 31 kilometers of roads, fixing and repairing 17 kilometers and renewing 14kilometers of rural roads, implementing the project of "lighting up country roads" on 8.6 kilometers and new cultivation of nearly 114,000 trees of all kinds, attracting more than 15,000 turns of members spending a total implementation cost of nearly VND 3 billion.
Volunteer activities to participate in the construction of civilized urban areas also spread at Youth’s League facilities in urban areas. The grassroots delegation organized the "Green Sunday" to build a flower garden to follow President Ho Chi Minh's teachings for clean the environment and build up clean, green, and beautiful streets.
Social security maintained
Volunteer activities to participate in social security are deployed simultaneously in peak stages to bring up a highly social effect. By 2020, the Youth’s League at all levels will organize 23 medical examinations and free medicine distribution, build and award 15 compassionate houses, 2 team houses, 11 dream rooms, and 6 ‘red-scarf’ houses, mobilize to give gifts to 3,250 children in difficult circumstances, build 12 projects and repair 8 entertainment works for children, and award scholarships to students having difficult circumstances.
Not only that, the organization of the Youth’s League at all levels also help people prevent and fight Covid-19 epidemic by strengthening propaganda and guidance on disease prevention and control, mask-wearing, and proper hand-wash. The whole league has actively coordinated with departments, agencies, unions, and authorities and mobilized donors to donate gifts to young workers in difficult circumstances and workers affected by epidemic. In addition, the support for employees is also organized in the form of "VND 0 market fairs" that offers original prices, giving free breakfast to employees.
Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League, said: “Volunteer activities to solve problems of social security, prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic, participation in building new rural areas, urban civilization, and summer volunteering have been deployed practically towards the grassroots. In order to improve the effectiveness of the Youth’s League movement in the coming time, Binh Duong provincial Youth Union identified in-depth volunteer programs, projects, and plans associated with the expertise, interests, needs of youth union members and socio-economic development of each locality and unit; continue to diversify types of natural resources in the current stage so that young people can choose such as participation in economic development and new rural construction, ensured national defense and security, participation in social activities, charity, humanitarian, and gratitude offerings, volunteer to guide people to handle administrative procedures, volunteer to support the province's international events among others. Binh Duong provincial Youth Union also continues to innovate and create activities and movements in accordance with the local characteristics to attract a large number of young people by strengthening propaganda and raising awareness of youth union members and people about the role and meaning of volunteering programs; strengthening communication activities to attract the support of the whole society in creating resources to support practical volunteering in life.
