Early March 3, comrade Nguyen Loc Ha, Permanent Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee chaired a meeting to review reports and direct preparations for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) in conjunction with the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025).

At the meeting, Bui Huu Toan, Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented a draft plan for organizing activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day, in conjunction with the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. The commemorative events will include a series of activities such as visiting and presenting gifts to officials and veterans who directly participated in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign to liberate Saigon and Thu Dau Mot province and are currently residing in Binh Duong. This includes the Traditional Liaison Committee of Phu Loi Battalion 1, Thu Dau Mot Special Task Force and veterans of Hoang Lien Son 2 Battalion in Lao Cao. Additionally, a gathering will be held to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, along with commendations and awards for outstanding collectives and individuals who have excelled in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morals and lifestyle during the 2020-2025 period. A ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day in association with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Thu Dau Mot province (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025, will be held in a solemn and meaningful manner. The celebrations will also feature a special artistic performance and a fireworks display…During the meeting, delegates basically agreed on the contents of the draft plan and provided specific suggestions regarding key tribute activities for heroic martyr families, war veterans and policy beneficiary families. They also discussed commemorative events at the grassroots level, security and public order measures and communication efforts for the occasion.
Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Loc Ha requested provincial Steering Committee for organizing major celebrations to proactively review and implement the assigned tasks to ensure the events that will be conducted solemnly, practically, economically, meaningfully, safely and effectively. He urged relevant agencies and units to continue making thorough and meticulous preparations to ensure the success of the commemorative program. He also called on provincial agencies and localities to enhance communication efforts and improve visual decorations, contributing to highlighting the historical significance of this important event and fostering widespread impacts among officials, Party members and people across the province.
