Thousands of attractive jobs await workers

At the "Job Fair 2024" alone, co-organized by WTC Binh Duong Co., Ltd., 50 enterprises needed over 25,000 workers. Large-scale enterprises such as Lego Group, with a factory in VSIP III, began recruiting office staff and unskilled workers to send abroad for training in preparation for the plant's operation.

Opportunity to find suitable employment

The "Job Fair 2024" held on July 13-14 at the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City EXPO (WTC EXPO) in Thu Dau Mot city’s Hoa Phu ward was a grand event. It attracted 50 enterprises from the province and thousands of job seekers. Many attendees already had stable jobs, but participated to seek better opportunities. Pham Van Tuyen, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (DoLISA) stated: "The job fair aims at providing workers with job opportunities, opening job opportunities between employers and potential candidates, helping unemployed workers quickly reintegrate into the job market, reducing unemployment rates and promoting the local socio-economic development".

In the last six months of 2024, enterprises are expected to need about 30,000 workers

Vo Trong Phu, a worker from Ha Tinh province who attended the job fair shared: "I have qualifications and several years of experience for foreign enterprises, so I came to the fair to find more opportunities and increase my income. After years of working, I realized that when a job is stable, the income doesn't increase, and the work can become monotonous, not showcasing all my potential. I always want to challenge myself in a new environment”.

The fair also attracted many recent graduates and final-year students seeking suitable jobs, meeting reputable employers and planning future careers. Nguyen Quang Minh from Binh Phuoc province, who just graduated in business administration from Thu Dau Mot University shared: "I have just got a job at a small enterprise with enough salary to live on. I consider my current job as gaining experience. Today, I came to look for opportunities at Lego and Pandora. My friends also want to try their hand at these billion-dollar corporations". For businesses, this is an opportunity to find high-quality human resources, promote their brand and directly recruit potential candidates.

Sharing about the job fair, labor recruitment needs  and job opportunities in the province, Nguyen Kim Loan, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said that this activity helps workers have more job opportunities, unemployed workers quickly return to the labor market, and enterprises have recruited many suitable candidates, reducing unemployment rates. Provincial Trade Union has committed to always accompanying provincial workers in all aspects of life, work and income.

Over 30,000 workers needed in second half of year

In addition to large companies, namely Lego and Pandora recruiting many positions and training workers to meet production needs when they go into operation soon, many other enterprises in the province are currently recruiting from a few hundred to over 1,000 workers for being ready to start work immediately. According to provincial DoLISA, in the last six months of 2024, province-based enterprises need to recruit more than 30,000 workers.

Several companies have recently recruited a large number of workers. For example, Wanek Company in Ben Cat city need more than 1,000 workers, including over 500 sewing workers. Sungshin Solution Co., Ltd. producing shoe soles in Ben Cat city needs 1,000 workers. Dai Thien Loc Shoe Company in Ben Cat city needs 800 workers. Chutex Co., Ltd. in Di An city needs 1,000 skilled and unskilled workers.

To secure a workforce for production, many enterprises have posted recruitment notices directly at their premises and through provincial Job Placement Center's recruitment channels. Some companies have also connected with labor supply agencies, but still struggled to find enough workers. To mitigate the current labor shortage, provincial DoLISA has closely linked labor supply and demand among enterprises reducing scale and cutting laborers with those expanding and needing more workers. The department has also cooperated with vocational training institutions, colleges and universities to introduce graduates to enterprises. Additionally, the department has connected with other provinces and cities to find labor sources, supporting enterprises...

Over the past time, provincial DoLISA also collaborated with enterprises, universities and localities in the province to organize many job fairs to help enterprises find human resources. For instance, during the Workers' Month, provincial DoLISA coordinated with Ben Cat city to organize the "Job Fair 2024", attracting over 20 enterprises and more than 1,000 laborers. Many enterprises need to recruit unskilled workers aged between 18 and 40, without requiring qualifications. Generally, enterprises primarily recruit laborers in industries such as footwear, textiles, wood and electronics.

ACCORDING TO PROVINCIAL JOB PLACEMENT CENTER, IN THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF 2024, 3,210 ENTERPRISES IN THE PROVINCE RECRUITED OVER 40,000 WORKERS. IT IS EXPECTED THAT ENTERPRISES WILL RECRUIT MORE THAN 30,000 WORKERS IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS.
