 Share difficulties with employees

As part of a series of activities for Workers' Month 2025, a delegation from Provincial Federation of Labor visited various businesses to deliver gifts and offer encouragement to workers facing difficult circumstances.

Recently, during visits to Triumph International Co., Ltd. and Pung Kook Saigon II Co., Ltd., where thousands of workers are employed, Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice Chairman of Provincial Federation of Labor, acknowledged the contributions and resilience of workers as well as the support from business leaders. He emphasized how these leaders have created favorable conditions that enable grassroots trade unions to enhance their efforts in caring for the welfare of union members and workers. This includes implementing labor agreements that benefit the workers.

Each gift presented to workers during Workers' Month has brought warmth and hope to those enduring challenging times. Ms. Nguyen Thi Dao, a resident of Dong Nai who has worked at Pung Kook Saigon II Company Limited for over five years, shared her story. With her husband being a freelancer and having irregular work hours, their family has to carefully manage their finances to cover rent and raise two children. “Every year, our family receives many gifts from the provincial and local unions during Workers' Month, holidays, and Tet. That support motivates our family to persist and overcome difficulties,” Ms. Dao said.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang, Vice President of Tan Uyen City Labor Federation, Workers' Month is an opportunity for trade unions at all levels in the province, as well as businesses, to focus on the needs of workers. In line with Provincial Federation of Labor’s directives, since April 2024, the organization has been reviewing the number of union members and workers facing difficulties, illnesses, or work-related accidents to provide support and distribute gifts. So far, more than 1,000 gifts, each valued at 1 million VND, have been organized and distributed. Additionally, grassroots trade unions within companies have been implementing their own support initiatives for employees, as well as organizing recreational activities and trips for them.

To further improve workers' lives, each level of trade union in the province is conducting practical activities connected to Workers' Month 2025. Mr. Tran Ngoc Van, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Industrial Parks Trade Union, mentioned that in addition to launching Workers' Month and responding to key activities proposed by higher-level trade unions, Binh Duong Industrial Parks Trade Union has mobilized more than 350 gifts (worth 1 million VND each) from socialized sources to assist workers facing challenging circumstances, occupational accidents, and illnesses. Notably, the unit has partnered with several businesses to offer products at original and discounted prices to support workers.

Grassroots Trade Union of Italy Asia Door Industry Company Limited organize many meaningful activities during Workers' Month.

 Many meaningful activities

To celebrate Workers' Month as a true festival for union members and workers, each local trade union actively participates in activities proposed by unions at all levels. Many businesses also organize movements to study and promote Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle among all employees.

Ms. Le Thi Huong, Chairwoman of Trade Union at the Italian-Asian Door Industry Company Limited in Tan Uyen City, stated, “Studying and applying Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style is reflected in every action taken by grassroots trade unions. This includes caring for the lives of union members and workers and promoting solidarity. For workers facing personal difficulties, grassroots trade unions, along with leaders and union members, come together to support them in overcoming these challenges.”

Mr. Dao Dinh Tho, who has worked at Italian-Asian Door Industry Company Limited for many years and manages labor safety at the company, shared, “In my work, I continually strive to learn from Uncle Ho in even the smallest aspects. This commitment drives me to research and innovate for greater efficiency. Recently, I explored the installation of spark sensors and an automatic water-spraying system. During operation, if sparks are detected, the sensor activates to immediately shut down the dust extraction system and spray water to extinguish any fire, thereby ensuring the factory remains safe.”

According to Provincial Federation of Labor, in 2024, the emulation movement "Good Workers, Creative Workers" and the initiative to learn from Uncle Ho's example have gained significant traction across every enterprise, workshop, and production team. The province has recorded over 3,200 initiatives and technical improvements that have been recognized and widely implemented in production, generating profits exceeding 400 billion VND.

To further enhance the movement of innovation and creativity, Provincial Federation of Labor is launching the "Popular Digital Education" campaign for all union members and workers during Workers' Month in 2025.

Overall, the key activities planned for Workers' Month 2025 have been organized thoughtfully and enthusiastically by trade unions at all levels throughout the province. Notably, there has been a special emphasis on giving gifts and visiting individuals and families in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Dang Tan Dat, Head of Policy and Law Department of Provincial Labor Federation, stated, “To support union members and workers facing difficulties during Workers' Month 2025, trade unions at all levels in the province are focusing on distributing gifts, with a total amount of about 20 billion VND mobilized from various sources."

From now until the end of May, trade unions at all levels will continue to organize meaningful activities, such as expressing gratitude to businesses that take good care of their workers’ well-being, organizing zero-dong markets, and selling discounted goods to help workers save money while shopping for their family.
