Thu Dau Mot city gained 113.2% of projected blood donation

On September 5, the Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation of Thu Dau Mot city coordinated with the Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center of Cho Ray Hospital from Ho Chi Minh city to organize a voluntary blood donation drive (in photo).

The program attracted a large number of officials, members, students, workers, armed forces and people in the city to participate. Volunteers were given health checks and advice on the benefits and meaning of donating blood to save lives. As a result, the Organizing Committee received 301 units of blood; each blood unit is 350ml.

From the beginning of the year, the Red Cross of Thu Dau Mot city has mobilized and received 3,962 out of 3,500 units of blood, reaching 113.2% of the target assigned by the provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in 2023.
