Recently, the Division of Education and Training of Thu Dau Mot city held the first training camp for teachers in Thu Dau Mot city 2022 with the theme of "Teachers of Thu Dau city to be dynamic, creative, civilized, emulation and teaching well". The camp has created favorable conditions for school units to exchange, learn, promote creativity, pride, respect teachers, and honor the noble qualities of teachers.

Thu Dau Mot city Teacher Camp 2022 is held with the participation of 100% of units under the Department of Education and Training including 42 sub-camps with more than 1,200 officials, teachers and employees from 58 pre-schools, primary and secondary schools in Thu Dau Mot city. In which, 22 sub-camps are for primary schools, 13 sub-camps for junior high schools and 7 sub-camps for preschools. Within the framework of the camp, all participating officials and staff can experience many exciting activities like beautiful campsite contest, food festival, campfire, art contest and folk games, etc. The most attractive feature is the art competition with performances praising the love of the homeland, the country and the people of Vietnam.
Present at the stage of the art competition, we could see the joyful and vibrant atmosphere as well as the multi-talented staffs of Thu Dau Mot city's education sector. After the stressful teaching hours, they now have comfortable moments to show their talents. The 42 performances participating in the cultural festival in the camp with various genres such as solo, duet, trio, group singing and dancing with special costumes and props.
Mr. Dinh Quang Van, teacher at Chanh Nghia Elementary School, said: “I am very happy to participate in the camp, especially with my colleagues participating in this year's art competition. This is an opportunity for all teachers to have a healthy, useful and meaningful entertainment playground after a hard school year of fighting the COVID-19 epidemic and having to fulfill their professional duties. Whether we win or not, we are still passionate with what we have prepared."
Talking to us, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong, Head of Education and Training Division of Thu Dau Mot city, said that the activity was within the framework of a series of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 to November 20, 2022). The purpose of the camp was to create a healthy, joyful, useful and creative playground for teachers on the occasion of summer vacation; thereby, contributing to the improvement of the spirit of solidarity, exchange and learning among school units in Thu Dau Mot city. The camp was carefully prepared from the beginning of July with the smooth and synchronous coordination of agencies, units and all staffs of the education and training sector of Thu Dau Mot city.
A useful playground
At the camp, the part that created the most laughter was the area where folk games were held for the entire staff. The games such as tug of war, sucking on a spoon and passing lemon, group jumping rope, slow bike etc. have all brought joyful laughter and moments of true relaxation for teachers after a special school year, especially due to the complicated outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic that prompted the dual task of profession and epidemic prevention and control.
Sharing with us, Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, a teacher of Tuoi Ngoc Kindergarten, said that the activity was really meaningful for teachers and students in the education and training sector to exchange and learn more experiences. At the same time, it was also a useful playground for teachers to prepare for a more joyful and successful new school year. Hopefully in the future there would be more meaningful playgrounds and practical activities for the education sector.
“For this camp, we hope that the staffs and students in the whole education sector will be in solidarity groups to become strong educators who can bring to new knowledge to the younger generation to step firmly into the future. At the same time, the city Division of Education and Training also hopes that experiencing activities at the camp will develop their own plans to organize grassroots camps, be creative in creating chains of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day," said Ms. Phuong.
