Being the center of a whole province, Thu Dau Mot town holds a strategic political, cultural, and socio-economic role in civil defense. On the way of buiding up a future city, the town stays focused to form “strong and widespreading” forces.
Organization of civil defense has reached nearly 1.8% of population with full establishment of Party cells leading the movements. Being well trained, local civil defense forces have accomplished their duty under Decision No. 107/2003/QD-TTg of Prime Minister.
Independent forces have conducted 9,782 patrols with 49,302 turns of local participants. The patrols were coordninated with other 7,121 patrols to resolve 4,115 cases of crimes and retrieved over VND 3.2 billion.
The model of anti-crime team in Phu Hoa was a success to turn down the crimes.
Meanwhile, the town’s army headquarter has frequently organized training courses to propaganda lecturers, and local members. At the same time, the local army has maintained best assessment to evaluate and motivate the participants.
However, local army has faced difficulties of areas for training courses. To resolve this, training courses were organized into localities and facilities of local army. This has proved to be effective to hundreds of members.
Beyond the training of army strategy and political awareness, local army has also focused on several policies to its members. Since 2008, meals have been maintained for the members at VND 30,000 a person a day.
Achievements were thanks to awareness of political role of civil defense, and leadership of the Party across its grassroots. This is also a favorable conditions for successful socio-economic development.
