Thu Dau Mot University starts new academic year of 2023-2024

On the morning of October 9, Thu Dau Mot University held the opening ceremony of the 2023 - 2024 academic year.

Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, and provincial Party Standing Committee members.

Over the past time, Thu Dau Mot University has comprehensively developed in all aspects of its activities. In the 2022 - 2023 academic year, the university had 354 articles published in domestic journnals and 211 articles published on international ones. It has also registered intellectual property rights for 2 inventions. The institution's staff and lecturers have implemented 124 topics and/or projects including 118 university-level projects, 1 provincial-level project, 1 VinIF project, 2 Nafosted projects, 1 national-level project, and 1 Erasmus project. The university has deployed online teaching and learning on the E-learning system in all faculties, training institutes, and university training programs with 4,114 courses and 167,508 students enrolled in the courses.

In the 2023 - 2024, Thu Dau Mot University has 3,600 new students studying in 36 undergraduate majors. In the new school year, the school sets a goal that 100% of units operate according to ISO 21001:2018 and AUN-QA standards, undergraduate enrollment would be 4,500, and postgraduate enrollment at least 250.

At the opening ceremony, leaders of Thu Dau Mot University rewarded 13 freshmen with excellent achievements in the 2023 admission term.
