Morning Sep 22nd, Thu Dau Mot University held the opening ceremony of the 2015-2016 academic year. Mr. Mai The Trung, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee; and representatives of provincial People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee attended the ceremony.
Mr. Mai The Trung, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, gave flowers to Thu Dau Mot University on occasion of the new academic year opening.
In this new academic year, Thu Dau Mot University has more than 4,000 freshmen of university and college level, increasing the total number of students by nearly 18,000. In the 2015-2016 academic year, the university will continue to implement the campaign “Studying and following uncle Ho’s moral example” and other sectorial movements; accelerate the movement of teaching and learning to improve training quality; improve training programs towards CDIO of advanced universities. Besides, the university will mobilize resources for scientific research activities; pay attention to moral, skills and cultural lifestyle training for students; better staff, facilities... to meet development requirements of a scientific research university.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Rector of Thu Dau Mot University, rewarded top freshmen of the 2015 entrance exam.
On this occasion, PPC conferred certificate of merit upon a student winning prizes at the national mathematics Olympiad 2014-2015; the university rewarded 8 top freshmen of the 2015 entrance exam.
