On March 12, Thu Dau Mot Women's Union held a ceremony to launch a tree planting movement for officials, union members and women. The movement was themed "Women cultivating the future - for the sake of ten years of planting trees, for the sake of hundreds of years of cultivating people", with the spirit of "Every woman - one tree", "Every union branch - one tree planting project".
Immediately after the launch ceremony, officials, members and women planted nearly 100 trees in the vacant lot on Ho Van Cong Street in District 6, Tuong Binh Hiep ward.
According to leaders of the City Women's Union, this movement helped to propagating the purpose and meaning of planting trees, planting forests among all officials, members, women and people in the city, raising awareness of the benefits of forests, greenery; at the same time, to participate in planting trees to protect and develop green areas, protect the ecological environment, prepare for the tree planting movement in 2022 of Thu Dau Mot City.
