Early October 5, provincial Union of Science-Technology Associations in collaboration with provincial Department of Science-Technology, Department of Education-Training and Youth Union held the awards ceremony of the 12th provincial creative contest for teenagers and children, in attendance of Bui Huu Toan, Deputy Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education.

At the qualifying round of the contest, the organizers received 1,078 entries from candidates. There were around 120 entries for the final round, including 17 learning tools, 11 products on information technology, 35 household utensils, 27 toys and entertainment products, 30 devices on environmental protection. The contest was for candidates aged between 6 and 19 and there were 44.16% of entries from secondary-school pupils.
As a result, the organizers awarded 2 first, 5 second, 6 third, 23 consolation prizes to outstanding products. Thuan An town’s 2 products “Lighting system by wind energy” and “Multiple-choice test table for numbers that are divisible by 2, 3, 5 and 9” excellently won 2 first prizes at the contest…
