As a locality with fast economic growth, Thuan An town now has a large number of immigrant youths. The whole town now absorbs 46,865 immigrant youths, three times higher than the number of the local ones. Hence, the task to care for young workers is great significance to the town in building up a flexible and creative workforce at the local socio-economic development.
In the last tenure, Thuan An town’s models of unitizing and gathering youths, especially young workers were diversified in content and form, contributing to making positive changes in their awareness and helping them have a strong attachment to the town.
Noticeably, Thuan An promoted many activities to implement the campaign “Vietnamese youths study and follow Uncle Ho’s teaching”; regularly maintained the models of writing diaries following Uncle Ho’s teaching; organized documentary film shows on Uncle Ho’s life and revolutionary career.
The town also promoted traditional education among young workers via many significant activities and teamed up with relevant agencies to make law dissemination for them.
Reportedly, the town offered help to 983 young workers with more than VND570mln; handed over 5 houses of compassion worth VND158mln to Youth Union members; helped 1,170 youths get a loan of more than VND15.66 trillion for economic development
In addition, the town’s youths created 252 initiatives in many fields. Many youth works also made contributions to the community. The town set up 360 youth sub-unions, groups with 14,609 members and created many useful playgrounds for young workers.
In the 2012-2017 tenure, Thuan An town’s Youth Union will focus on taking care of youths’ lives via the project of “Unitizing and gathering Binh Duong’s young workers between 2011 and 2015, the program of “5 volunteers in national construction and defence”; help young workers enjoy the housing program for low-income people, place 150 bags of legal books at lodging facilities…
