Early May 27, Thuan An town’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation in collaboration with Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center organized propaganda activities and received blood in response to the “Drops of Blood in Summer 2015” campaign.
With the message of “Blood donation saves lives, a noble deed”, the Steering Board mobilized 300 officials, civil servants, teachers, volunteers and students of Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College to take part in voluntary blood donation. This is a practical activity at the demand for blood of hospitals in and out of the province.
As a result, the organizers collected 279 units of blood, equivalent to 97,650 milliliters of blood, contributing to opportunely giving blood for patients in need of blood for medical treatment.
*Phu Giao district’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation, on May 26, also mobilized 200 officials, civil servants, teachers, Youth Union members, volunteers, members of the local Red Cross Society and locals to take part in voluntary blood donation. As a result, the organizers collected 135 units of blood, equivalent to 47,250 milliliters of blood, contributing to meeting the local demand for medical treatment.
