In summing up the 9th tenure of Thuan An Town People’s Council, good achievements have been gained to contribute into local socio-economic development.
Authority in Thuan An is outstanding in organization of the local council effectively in line with functionality, duty and obligations. Currently, 36 delegates are divided into 6 administrative election precints. All the delegates are committed to their role of harmonizing operations and effectively put guidelines and policies of the State and Party into people’s life.
Besides, local People’s Council has helped to resolve major local issues through 19 meeting session and 136 importantly approved resolutions for socio-economic development. Addressing this fact, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Ngoc Quang of Thuan An Town cum People’s Council Chairman put it that the resolutions have been detailed into guidelines and policies and really expressed wishes of the people.
He also informed that over 25,000 turns of voters have met the delegates in 27 sessions which collected 1,828 proposals, ideas, and appeals from the public. Majority of appeals have been resolved by functional agencies and units to effectively contribute into local socio-economic development.
Inspection and check-up have also been maintained in coordination with standing committees and boards under Thuan An People’s Council to transfer the proposals to units for thorough observation.
Under general assessment of delegates and the provincial People’s Council, the activities of Thuan An Town People’s Council has actively transformed to represent wishes and rights of local people. In meeting sessions of People’s Council, delegates always engage in positive discussions to ensure and enhance living standards in the locality.
