To heighten quality of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", Lai Thieu ward actively renovate urban views, build up green, clean and beautiful streets.
From a key unit
Lai Thieu ward has received the title "Ward meets urban civilization standards" in the movement’s implementation. Lai Thieu ward has developed comprehensively. All people, all households actively performed cultural lifestyle, civilized behavior, preservation and promotion of cultural identities, follow regulations on wedding, mourning, eliminating superstitious practices. Therefore, the people actively participated in the construction and protection of cultural, historical, sports and recreation works. Specifically, people in the ward always support movements of building rural roads, urban view renovation achieved 100% targets. People flew the flag in accordance with the regulations on major holidays, strictly implemented the Party's guidelines, policies, and the State’s laws, participated in general cleaning, waste collection, fishing water hyacinths... In the last year, the ward had 14/14 quarters reaching the title "Cultural Quarter", cultural lodging houses, the ward met “Urban civilization standards”. Many new and effective models have been expanded such as crime prevention club, new women club, crime fighting club, children and social crimes…
Speaking about the success of the movement, Pham Phu Nam, People's Committee Chairman of Lai Thieu Ward, said: "This achievement came from the unity between the Party and people. Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of Thuan An Township People's Committee, said: "The attention of Party committees, authorities as well as collaboration between departments, unions helped the movement to get many important achievements in socio-economic development. The movement really came into people's lives, stimulated patriotism emulation movement in the whole town. Throughout the implementation period, there was a profound change in the awareness of Party committees, authorities, cadres, Party members and people about the role and position of culture and human factor in industrialization and modernization of the country ".

In the last year, the whole town has 36,382/38,247 cultural households, accounting for 95.1%; 48/56 cultural quarters, hamlets, reaching 85.7%; 5,128/5,790 cultural lodging houses, reaching 88.56%; new rural commune An Son commune.
