An Phu ward of Thuan An town adjoins populous localities, so order and security in the ward is very complicated with criminal offenders, traffic accidents, social evils, badly impacting on local residents’ life. Therefore, local authority has set out urgent solutions to curb social evils.
An Phu ward’s youth union and Veteran Society have mapped out concerted programs to maintain local order and security. The two units have implemented promulgations on political education to youths and unionists.

The ward anti-crime club is born to meet local real demand. The club has 45 members from the two units whilst the Veteran Club has 72 members. Members of the mentioned clubs have played a crucial role in controlling crimes and protecting order and security.
Cooperation between An Phu ward’s Youth Union and Veteran Society has over the past 5 years contributed to building the national great unity bloc. Along with public security force, military, the two units play a crucial role in protecting national defense.
Accordingly, the units discovered over 100 robbery cases, repaying hundreds millions of VND for victims. Notably, veteran Hoang Dinh Hai, unionists of Bui Tuan Kiet, Bui Tuan Anh, Bui Thai Hau, Ngo Thanh Cong, Nguyen Tan Duy Thanh, Tran Quang Huy were awarded merit certificates from the provincial People’s Committee.
Regarding achievement of the ward’s anti-crime club, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, secretary of the ward Youth Union, said “the club’s members have a high awareness on responsibility”. She added, the ward youth union and veteran society offer many valued information sources for local public security.
With the close cooperation, the ward youth union and veteran society along with local mass bodies and sectors have contributed to protecting local order and security.
