Early May 27, Thuan An town’s Young Pioneer Organization held the 20th Congress of Obedient Children of Uncle Ho 2014. Attending the event were 124 Uncle Ho’s obedient children and 42 outstanding chiefs of Young Pioneer detachments in the emulation campaign of “1,000 good flowers to offer Uncle Ho”.
The town’s Young Pioneer Organization was appreciated as one of the province’s top units in teenagers and children’s movements for many years. Through many significant programs, the town’s Young Pioneer Organization over the past two years presented more than 10 tons of rice, 1,390 sets of clothes, 68 bicycles and 9,500 notebooks to pupils with difficult circumstances. The local young pioneers also strived to get more than 500,000 “Ten grade” flowers and more than 54,000 good learning periods.
In addition, the town’s Young Pioneer Organization set up 108 learning clubs, admitted additional 8,600 outstanding members, introduced over 3,600 outstanding members to classes for candidates of the Youth Union…
At the congress, Thuan An town’s People’s Committee honored 124 Uncle Ho’s obedient children, 28 chiefs of Young Pioneer detachments at schools, 10 leaders of Young Pioneer detachments in wards, communes for their good performance in the 2012 and 2013 academic year. The town’s Study Promotion Association also awarded scholarships to 28 outstanding young pioneers in studying and training.
