In order to ensure sufficient electricity supply for production and daily-life activities, contributing to the protection of natural resources, every year, Binh Duong Electricity Company develops annual power supply programs and plans. In which, Binh Duong Electricity Company focuses on improving and building new power grid projects, upgrading transformer stations; work out plans to operate, limit overload causing power outages; coordinate with Department of Industry and Trade, unions and localities to encourage people to protect the high-voltage grid corridor, safely, economically and efficiently use electricity.
According to Binh Duong Electricity Company, over the first 3 months of 2021, commercial electricity output reached 3,403 million kWh, completing 22.95% of the target assigned by Southern Electricity Corporation, up 5.45% over the same period in 2020. In which, the power output supplied to industrial production increased by 6.91% over the same period in 2020, accounting for 78.3%. In order to improve the quality of electricity, reduce losses and improve reliability and safety in the power supply, serving production and daily-life activities of the people, Southern Electricity Corporation is cooperating with Binh Duong Electricity Company to invest in projects to upgrade and develop mid-low voltage grid in the center of towns and cities. As expected, in 2021, 8 key transmission lines and transformer stations of 110kV will be finished to prevent overload, reduce the grid load, promptly meet the demand of socio-economic development in the province.
In addition, the electricity industry promotes the propaganda of energy saving and efficient use solutions, such as: Changing technology, production equipment and changing consumption habits; to develop power transmission and distribution grids in the national electricity system in order to ensure adequate electricity supply to customers. Some businesses in the province have also actively replaced their chain technology, invested in rooftop solar power to help reduce load, protect the environment... From the above programs and solutions, each year, Binh Duong Electricity Company saves hundreds of millions of kWh of electricity. Particularly during the first 3 months of 2021, Binh Duong Electricity Company saved 82.27 million kWh of electricity, an increase of 18.03% over the same period in 2020, reaching the rate of 2.42% of commercial electricity output.
The economical and rational use of electricity contributes to not only ensuring energy security, limiting power shortage but also environmental protection. One of the solutions to ensure energy source security, protect natural resources, in addition to investing in upgrading and maintaining power grid infrastructure, and using electricity effectively and efficiently, is the development of new energy sources, renewable energies, such as solar power, electricity from domestic and livestock waste sources ... All of the above solutions have been actively carried out by the electricity industry in order to best serve the development of the province.
