Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, Head of central government’s directing board on implementing Decision No. 1956 made by Prime Minister after August 29’s online conference with 63 provinces in the beginning of 2011 regarding vocational traininig in rural areas has called for actions. Attending the conference were leaders of Provincial People’s Committee and members of Vocational Training Project in rural areas.
Representative leader of Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) semi-reviewed on 6 months of implementing Vocational Project in rural areas and reported that vocational training in rural area is accounted for 48.4% of general vocational training for over 267,000 trainees.
For the success of the mentioned project, Deputy PM called for authorities in provinces and cities to pay more attention to vocational training in rural areas by clearly assigning work to specific personnels. On the other hand, MOLISA should assess and rank provinces and cities according to work done to improve the programs.
