Tran Thi Kieu Tho, the owner of the boarding house sub-society, said “the sub-society now has 115 rooms with nearly 400 workers. We in cooperation with local authority will hold a year end party for lodgers before they come back their homeland for Tet. And, every lodger will receive a gift package including cake, sugar, milk worth over VND100,000. Those whose staying for Tet away from home will enjoy a year end party in the evening of lunar Dec. 30 with traditional dishes. We hope that workers here would enjoy a warm Tet in this year”.
Many other boarding houses’ owners have cooperated with local authorities to hold year end parties and gift visits to poor immigrant laborers. Hoang Minh, the owner of boarding house area in Ben Cat district’s My Phuoc township said that she would decrease 50% of boarding room fee for those whose staying for Tet away from home.
Luong Minh Tan, secretary of Thuan An town Youth Union, said “In the upcoming Tet the town youth union will grant 40 gifts each worth VND500,000 to poor lodgers. In addition, the provincial youth union will support expenses for 60 typical boarding house sub-societies to hold healthy and useful playgrounds for workers staying for Tet”.
It is hoped that lodgers will enjoy a happy and warm Tet holiday in Binh Duong province.
