To curb and prevent serious traffic accidents

In order to improve the efficiency of traffic order and safety in the province, on July 30, provincial Traffic Safety Board issued a written direction, in which urged relevant departments and agencies to urgently intensify the implementation of traffic safety assurance solutions, focus on preventing particularly serious traffic accidents.

Specifically, provincial Traffic Safety Board asked Department of Transport to strengthen the collaboration with branches, functional units and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to improve the effectiveness of state management of transport; at the same time, tighten the management of business and conditions for transport business by four-wheel vehicles in the area. In addition, Department of Transport needs to accelerate the enforcement of regulations on transport business conditions for passenger transport businesses; strictly handle violations according to laws.

Besides, provincial Traffic Safety Board required functional agencies to intensify the review, detection and thorough handling of hot spots and potential spots of traffic accidents on local routes, especially frequent routes of traffic accidents; ready to coordinate forces, ensure traffic safety, promptly handle landslides and damage caused by floods.

Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Head of provincial Traffic Safety Board, asked specialized forces of Traffic police and traffic inspectorate to strengthen patrol, control, detect and strictly handle violations of road traffic order and safety law, especially on key national highways having large traffic volumes.  He also directed provincial functional departments to continue collaborate with local governments to analyze and evaluate causes of traffic accidents in the province, thereby propose specific solutions to Provincial People's Committee.
