On Oct 27th, Binh Duong health branch held a conference to summarize 10 years of traditional medicine development in Binh Duong province from 2011 to 2020, orientation to 2030.
Over 10 years, development targets of traditional medicine have contributed to the protection and care of people's health, preservation of national identity, development of national culture, affirming the position of traditional medicine of the province. As a result, the province has now 3 traditional medicine hospitals; 7/9 district, town and city health centers have traditional medicine departments integrated with rehabilitation, 19 regional general clinics, and 91 commune, ward and town health clinics provide medical examination and treatment by traditional medicine and combined with rehabilitation. Currently, there are 72/91 commune-level health stations meeting the advanced criteria for traditional medicine.
In addition, Provincial Oriental Medicine Association, Binh Duong Medical Laser Association, and non-public health system also developed comprehensively. The rate of medical examination by traditional medicine or combining traditional medicine with modern medicine at the provincial level reached 12.2%, district level reached 25%, and commune level reached 32.3%.
In the development period to 2030, provincial health authority continues to develop comprehensively traditional medicine; strengthen the combination of traditional medicine with modern medicine to improve people's health in the new situation.
On this occasion, PPC awarded certificates of merit to 18 collectives, 28 individuals; provincial Department of Health awarded certificates of merit to 23 collectives, 46 individuals who made outstanding results in the provincial traditional medicine development 2011-2020.
