Representatives of tourist enterprises asserted that tourism potentials of Binh Duong Province are tremendous thanks to good infra-construction with various services. Besides, Binh Duoong Province has many other attractive destinations; however, to develop from such available potentials, local Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall have much work to do.
Great advantages
As approved by various tourism companies, Binh Duong Province is a potential market for tourism.
Mr. Tran Tuan Hung, Deputy President of Binh Duong Provincial Association and General Director of Ha Nam Group said that Binh Duong Province has about 1 million working people from all parts of the nation living and working locally. Binh Duong Province is a locality of beautiful natural landscape of 2 major rivers of Saigon and Dong Nai. Along the two rivers are various historical and cultural sites and famous localities of pottery in Tan Phuoc Khanh, carpentry in Phu Tho, lacquer in Tuong Binh Hiep, and rubber trees in Dau Tieng District. Binh Duong Province also has Lai Thieu orchard, D-warzone, iron triangle, Ho Lang, Lo O Spring etc. where tourism can be developed. As those sites are developed, other localities of Dong Nam Bo Region such as Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, and Dong Nai will become the first destinations for tourists who would, then, visit Binh Duong Province for resting, shopping, and culinary. Other advantage of Binh Duong Province is its proximity to Ho Chi Minh City and within the Southern major economic zone where the demands for recreation, resting, and shopping are great.

Sharing the same point of view, Mr. Do Tran Hung, Deputy President of Binh Duong Provincial Tourism Association and Deputy Director of Phuong Nam Resort, said: “Binh Duong Province has made its brands well-known nationwide and globally. People know of Binh Duong Province for its success of industrial investment and development. For me, the most precious tourism potential of Binh Duong Province is the economic combination to bring up the utmost effects, comparable even to Singapore and Thailand in their current positions.”
Customers have more choices
At the entrance to Binh Duong Province from Ho Chi Minh City on National Highway No. 13 emerged many tourism sites at the scale of resorts including hotels restaurants, and recreational parks including Phuong Nam Resort, Din Ky Resort at Vinh Phu Ward in Thuan An Town. Those zones offer attractive facilities and unique activities to attract visitors.
Mr. Kenny Tang of Vietnamese origin said: “We enjoy staying at Phuong Nam Resort for local calmness and special designs of villas. The outer space of the resort is quite fair recalling the time of the past in Vietnam.”
Aside from effectively operating tourism sites and resorts, various hotels and premium apartments of full facilities have emerged in Binh Duong Province with world proclaimed positions such as The Mira and Becamex Hotel.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hiep, Chair of North Tan Uyen District People’s Committee, informed that, for the time to come, the district will renovate and put the historical, cultural, and touring resorts into use to prepare for upcoming years of development and connection.
Sales need orienting
Mr. Tran Tuan Hung said: “Staying and ahead and promoting the advantage of and industrial center near Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Nam Group has built up the two 3-star hotels of Hoang Yen 1 and 2; however, we had to make great efforts in marketing and advertisements to attract more and more visitors. If the potentials in Binh Duong Province are strategically made use of, the promotion would be tremendous while saving up great sums of advertisements and marketing in the current stage of competition and development.”
Adding to the comment, Mr. Do Tran Hung asserted that reforming and refreshing is the key to attract visitors. According to him, planning would make enterprises more reflexive in building strategies for development and cost savings.
Contributing to the strategies of tourism development in Binh Duong Province, Mr. Nguyen Huu Y Yen , Director of Saigontourist in Binh Duong Province warned of determining what customers need to establish tours and complete tourism products.
