On May 14, Mai Hung Dung, member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to review the implementation of green tree planting program in 2018 and orientation in 2019.
In 2018, 60,831 trees were planted with a total area of 111.14 hectares, reaching 35.78% of the plan, contributing to increase the rate of greenery coverage, creating a green, clean and beautiful environment. At the meeting, relevant units and localities raised difficulties in the planting process; there was a lack of land fund for planting trees. These units also reported on the plan for the organization of launching ceremony of “Tree planting festival to be grateful to Uncle Ho" and the program of planting trees in 2019.
