Center for Culture, Information and Sports and Ben Cat Town Youth’s League organize springtime enjoyment for working people
Being present at 30-4 Square of Ben Cat Town in celebration of the Party and springtime for immigrant workers jointly organized by Center for Culture, Information and Sports, Association of Women, and Ben Cat Town Youth’s League, many workers cannot hold back their enjoyment. Pham Hong Thoai My, a worker of Han Viet Phat Company in Ben Cat Town, said: “My homeland is in An Giang; 8 years ago, I accompanied my family to settle down in Binh Duong Province. At the association of young workers in Tan Dinh Ward, I have joined various activities of recreation and union. Now, I can enjoy early Tet Holiday where we could meet and share up our hardship in life and employment.”
At the event, the participating workers competed in culinary contest, flower arrangement, and folk games. The diversified activities have met the demand of young workers for recreational activities and games after days of tensioned work.
Beside the mentioned event, Ben Cat Town Youth’s League coordinated to hold the event of ‘springtime in our homeland’ with folk gams at 30-4 Square throughout February 9, 10, and 11 for those workers failing to return home for Tet Holiday. Besides, local Youth’s League has coordinated to donate gifts to workers of harsh circumstances, directing its inferior to build up healthy playground for workers. It has also coordinated with labor unions in companies to take care of workers who stay during Tet Holiday.
Nguyen Ngoc Thoai, the Deputy Secretary of Ben Cat Town Youth’ League informed that they would organize activities for workers, especially those workers staying for Tet Holiday in Ben Cat Town. Thereon, the sense of patriotism, nationalism, unity, and preservation of Vietnamese culture would be improved for celebration of springtime and traditional holiday of the people. The activities depict the care of local authorities and encouragement of those workers in harsh circumstances having to stay for Tet Holiday away from home. Unity and binding relationship of the immigrant workers and enterprises will be tightened, offering opportunities for unifying youths and immigrant workers in leagues and associations.
Apparently, the activities have brought up a warm and unified springtime in Ben Cat Town to develop the locality.
