In the afternoon of August 6, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the CPV Central Committee cum Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired an online meeting to evaluate the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control on the plan to protect and expand the "blue zones" in the province. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi asked departments, branches and localities to mobilize the entire political system to take part in by focusing on performing tasks to protect and expand the "blue zones" to follow the steps of narrowing the "red zones" and soon bringing Binh Duong back to a new normal state. At the meeting, the provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control directed the development of a plan to return Binh Duong to a new normal state from September 1, 2021.
To do that, the province will quickly carry out extensive testing, epidemiological investigation, tracing and quarantine to quickly remove F0 from the community. Places that have completed large-scale screening and testing must be locked down to control people to enter and exit to expand coverage of the "blue zones". Specifically, after August 15, units, localities and businesses registered to implement the "3 on-site" production plan are operating and 4 districts of Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, Bac Tan Uyen and Bau Bang must maintain and protect the "blue zones" as the buffer zones for other localities. After August 22, Ben Cat town must be actively transformed into a "blue zone" and after August 30, the remaining 4 localities of Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city, Di An city and Tan Uyen town must control the situation to make the whole area “blue”.
The provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to assume the prime responsibility for coordinating with relevant units and localities to develop specific implementation plans. The provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control also requested localities to strictly keep on implementing Directive 16 of the Prime Minister. The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, according to the decentralization of administrative boundary management, shall assume the prime responsibility for and coordinate with relevant units regarding patrolling, supervising, reminding and strictly sanctioning violations of law enforcement by the Directive No. 16.
