In the morning of March 21, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to Department of Information and Communications and NGS Equipment and Communication Joint Stock Company reporting on the implementation plan of the "Binh Duong ID" application.
Binh Duong ID is a mobile application that focuses on employees. The application is developed towards a connection channel among workers, businesses and authorities. The application is also a place to identify users and provide information on public administration, employment, housing, and is also the communication among employees and employment agencies. Binh Duong ID application will be connected with departments and agencies in the province and divided into construction phases with the most necessary contents for each citizen.
First, the province will focus on deploying the applications to identify citizens in the digital space, bringing public services closer to the people. Besides, Binh Duong ID is also an application that integrates many utility services such as job search, house rental, COVID-19 map, car booking, QR code scanning, etc. The priority subjects for testing are employees in industrial parks, then it will be extended to all citizens in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh said that Binh Duong is accelerating the digital transformation process with helix of digital government, digital society and digital economy. The emphasis is on social platforms to serve the people and the importance of deploying the digital society and Binh Duong ID application. This is a new activity that will face many drawbacks, so it must focus on implementation. However, to deploy Binh Duong ID application, it is necessary to unify the method of data collection and ensure the information security of the application. The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Information and Communications to synthesize comments from departments and agencies, and advise the provincial People's Committee on the plan to deploy the application in the province as soon as possible.
