To guarantee 10th grade entrance exam would take place normally

On May 31, provincial Department of Education and Training held a meeting with leaders of examination councils of the 10th grade entrance exam in the 2021-2022 school year. According to the plan, the exam will take place from June 2nd to 5th 2021. There are 17,267 candidates sitting the exam at 40 examination councils. Students will do three compulsory tests, including: Literature, Math and English.

In order for the exam to be carried out in accordance with regulations, ensure safety and seriousness, the Department tasked all members of examination councils with properly performing their assigned responsibilities and works. In particular, due to the complicated situation of the COVID-19, the Department directed examination councils to carry out a number of tasks of disease prevention control. Contestants are instructed to implement recommendations of Ministry of Health. Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of examination councils shall coordinated with school leaders in organizing the cleaning of tables, chairs and examination rooms; environmental sanitation in the campus and around exam sites to ensure safety and cleanliness; to disinfect exam sites. Examination councils fully prepared hand-washing places, clean water, hand sanitizers, temperature measuring devices, backup masks, backup exam rooms, medical rooms with enough medicine, essential medical equipment and preventive medicine room...

As of May 31, according to medical declaration statistics of Department of Education and Training, there were 62 examination officials showing symptoms of fever, cough and breathing difficulties; in which 58 people came from suspected or isolated areas. Regarding candidates, there were 103 students showing symptoms of fever, cough, breathing difficulties; in which 30 students had came and returned from suspected or isolated areas. In order to ensure safety and prevent control the epidemic, the above officials and candidates will not participate in this exam, the Department will have another reasonable plan to ensure interests and rights of contestants.
