On February 4th, a provincial delegation led by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of departments, branches inspected quarantine areas, checkpoints for disease epidemic prevention control in Thu Dau Mot city. The delegation examined actual logistics conditions, medical equipment, supplies, and the collaboration to ensure security order between Military Command and Public Security of Thu Dau Mot city.

To heighten epidemic prevention and control
As inspecting the organization at centralized quarantine areas in Phu Hoa ward, Nguyen Loc Ha asked functional forces to properly and adequately comply with quarantine procedures for epidemic prevention and control as recommended by health authorities; attention should be paid to providing nutritious food, food safety and hygiene, and treating waste from quarantined areas in accordance with medical waste processes.
Mr. Nguyen also appreciated the workforce allocation as well as the full compliance with quarantine procedures set by the health sector. He also reminded localities, on-duty forces to put the spirit of disease prevention and control at the highest level; be absolutely not neglect, subjective, off guard, or ignore the disease prevention and control processes.
Through a small online meeting by phone with residents in Quarter 5 who were in quarantine, Mr. Nguyen graciously inquired about their health and daily activities, especially food and essential necessities for these people during quarantine period. Up to now, thanks to the communication and propagation of potential dangers of the Covid-19, all people in the quarantined areas have well complied with relevant regulations to effectively implement disease prevention and control.
To take care of people's lives in quarantined areas
Mr. Nguyen also noted some important issues that need attention of Steering Committee for Disease Control and Prevention of Thu Dau Mot City and Phu Hoa Ward. These were to receive feedback from people in quarantine areas, especially to ascertain and promptly adequately provide daily necessities for people during the quarantine implementation. In which, local authorities need to pay special attention to hygiene and food safety; origin of foods, and foods provided for residents, especially green vegetables, fruits... to ensure nutritious meals, good health of people in isolated areas. In addition, Mr. Nguyen also asked functional units to take care of the collection and treatment of wastes from quarantined areas, such as the process of medical waste, to ensure absolute safety for epidemic prevention and control in the community.
Phan Cong Khanh, Party Secretary of Phu Hoa Ward, said that through the launch of Steering Committees for Covid-19 Control and Prevention of province, city and the ward, many organizations, units and individuals voluntarily offer essential necessities to people in isolated areas. Specifically, on Feb 4th, the ward received VND30 million in cash; 10 tons of vegetables, tubers and fruits; 1 ton of green vegetables; nearly 11 tons of rice; more than 600 boxes of instant noodles; 436 bottles of bottled mineral water; 1,457 boxes of medical masks, and 100 protective masks to help people in the quarantine area as well as forces 24/24 on duty at quarantine checkpoints.
Meanwhile, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Head of Thu Dau Mot City Police, said that the police of Thu Dau Mot city consolidated their force to more than 300 people in collaboration with the city's Military Command and other forces of Phu Hoa ward to guarantee social security and order in the concentrated quarantine areas and control posts in Phu Hoa ward. “The forces guarantee to be on duty 24/24 to secure social security order, and help people when needed, especially in the supply of food and necessities, and compliance with the regulations as required by the health authority”.
Vietcombank Binh Duong presented half a ton of rice, 100 barrels of mineral water, 50 barrels of instant noodles, 6 barrels of medical masks to people in the quarantine area at People's Committee of Phu Hoa ward. Dang Thi Huong, Deputy Director of Vietcombank Binh Duong, said that this institution is headquartered in Phu Hoa ward. Thus as knowing that people‘s lives in the quarantine area were in desperate need of mutual affection, all officials of Vietcombank Binh Duong made good deeds to help people areas during this difficult time. "We hopes that these small gifts could warm the hearts of people who are quarantine, help them feel more secure", Ms. Dang said.
