The United Nations has chosen the theme of 2022 on the occasion of the 112th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 to March 8, 2022) as " Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow." Immediately after successfully organizing the 11th provincial Women's Congress, proceeding to the activities to welcome the 13th National Congress of Women's Deputies of 2022-2027 tenure, the provincial Women's Association has gathered to centrally directs many tasks, helping women increasingly improve their roles in the family and society.
Many practical projects and activities
According to Mrs. Truong Thanh Nga, Chairman of the provincial Women's Association, despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the activities of associations at all levels in the past time have focused on making two breakthroughs and implementing the convention's motto of "Unity - Responsibility - Creation - Development". Emulation movement with the theme of "Binh Duong women are healthy, knowledgeable, creative and responsible", the campaign of "Building a family of 5 no’s, 3 clean’s", contributing to the cultivation of family values, 3 key tasks and 8 targets also quickly deployed by the association to institutions and opportunities for implementation with specific and practical programs and tasks, bringing benefits to women.

In addition, all levels of associations have participated in and organized many activities and events to welcome the Congress of Women at all levels, especially the 13th National Congress of Women. It can be mentioned that a special emulation session with the theme of "110 typical works and tasks to welcome the 11th provincial Women's Congress and the 13th National Women's Congress". At the end of the emulation period, 214 activities and practical tasks have been registered by associations at all levels. Those are very meaningful activities such as giving gifts, health insurance cards, cash, scholarships for children, livelihood support for poor and single women, gratitude to revolutionary old cadres, cadres and civil servants and societies of all times. Associations at all levels have also mobilized to build a home of love and a house of great solidarity, etc. for disadvantaged women and members. Officials, members, and women have carried out many flower routes, lighting up alleys, and marched to the army to clean up the environment.
The Emulation and Commendation Council of the provincial Women's Union also held a meeting to consider and select 14 typical works of outstanding typical collectives and individuals for commendation, selecting 3 works and the typical participation in the contest launched by the Central Vietnamese Women's Union.
More support for women and children
A good way of the provincial Women's Union in the past year is to mobilize and connect many resources from individuals to groups, from benefactors to business owners, to join hands in charity work and social security. The practical programs have helped women and children to overcome difficulties.
Mrs. Truong Thanh Nga said that all levels of associations have called upon cadres, members, women and people to send text messages to help build 130 livelihood models with a total value of VND 13 billion for women in border areas under the program of "Accompanying women in border areas." As for the program of "Millions of gifts to share love" by the end of 2021, all levels of associations in the province have mobilized nearly 28,000 gifts worth more than VND 5.3 billion; received and distributed nearly 27,000 gifts with a total value of VND 8.1 billion to members, women and children in difficult circumstances in the province supported by the Central Vietnam Women's Union.

The company has also conducted many programs such as giving gifts to female workers, supporting construction donated houses of love worth billions of VND. Dang Thi Huong, Deputy Director of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (VietcomBank) Binh Duong Branch, also said that in 2021, the unit has donated more than VND 11 billion for social security work, and the livelihood to help women do business to get out of poverty is more than VND 200 million. VietcomBank Binh Duong also accompanies with the provincial Women's Union to take care of socially-privileged families in difficult circumstances, to open accounts for orphans to receive support from businesswomen and families while benefactors in the province have signed monthly subsidies.
In the past time, the provincial Women's Union has also implemented and connected to support 320 orphans with a total budget of more than VND 2.9 billion. Specifically, the association cooperated with Vingoup Group's Benevolent Fund to give support to 207 children with an amount of more than VND 1.6 billion; it also cooperated with the provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association to sponsor 105 children with an amount of more than VND 1.2 billion. The Central Vietnam Women's Union also supported 8 children with the amount of VND 20 million. “In the near future, the association will continue to carry out many meaningful activities to give livelihood support in the next installments and work with businesses to expand the association's compassionate to women and children in need,” said Ms. Truong Thanh Nga.
Under the companionship of VietcomBank Binh Duong and the provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association, in March 2022, the provincial Women's Union organized the program of "Giving livelihoods to especially difficult women" for the first time with total business fee of VND 230 million.
