Annually, after reviewing and closing the school year, the education and training branch organizes the commendation and awarding of excellent students and teachers, who have excellent training. In the school year 2017-2018, provincial students continued to make good achievements. Students show their capability
To promote good teaching - good learning tradition, in the last school year, teachers and students continued to prove superiority in the quality of education and training. The quality of education continued to be improved, reflected through the results of excellent students at all levels in the province. The most prominent was the national excellent exam in 2018 had 24 more prizes compared with the previous school year.The province had a student winning national level second prize of literature. This achievement made other students more excited, confident about their ability to participate in national and regional competitions.
Students of Hung Vuong Gifted High School in TDM City achieved excellent results in this exam. In the last school year, the school had 108 students winning province-level prizes; 22 nation-level prizes. There were those who won the prize when they just entered 10th grade, like Nguyen Minh Quan, won the third prize in English; Le Thanh Hai, 11th-grade student, won the second prize in literature. Headmaster Nguyen Van Son said, students participating in scientific and technical competitions, regional Olympic, Hanoi natural science Olympic, Northern Olympic competition; Phuong Nam summer camp... won higher prizes than last year. Through the national high school exam, the school continued reach 100% graduation; 99.56% students were admitted to universities and colleges. These results were brought by the efforts of teachers and hard work, hard study of students.
Expressing passion, creativity in learning, at the national high school science and technology competition, this year the province also did well, as provincial students won three prizes; including 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 1 consolation prize. The most excellent achievement was the first prize at provincial science and technology competition, the project "Fabrication of composite materials from coconut fiber and waste plastic" by two students Ly Kinh An and Le Hong Khang, of Hung Vuong Gifted High School, continued to win second prize at national competition of the South.
In order to gain high achievements at the national level, in the last school year, the province continued to maintain excellent students’ competition ay secondary and high school level. In the secondary school excellent students’ competition in the school year 2017-2018, 195 students out of more than 1,700 candidates won prizes. At high school level, there were 979 participants, 181 students won prizes. In order to develop the movement using teaching aids and gradually improve experimental skills of secondary and high school students, Department of Education and Training organized a test of physics, chemistry and biology for 12th grades select and 9th grades. Many students demonstrated their capability to effectively apply learned knowledge into practice, experiments, making teachers very satisfied.
Nguyen Hong Sang, Director of Department of Education and Training, said in the school year 2017-2018, the department had guided and organized the selection of good students from the school level to district, town, city, provincial and national level. In each round, Department of Education and Training directed schools to draw experienced for teachers directly fostering students about content, methods of doing lessons, help students master knowledge before entering the next round. Therefore, the school year 2017 - 2018 schools achieved very encouraging achievements.
Provincial students also made remarkable achievements at the national high school exam. The rate of high school graduates reached 99.43%; At university entrance competition, there were 68 candidates with 24 points or more, 65 students with from 24 to 26 points, and 3 students with from 26 to 27 points. Of these, Nguyen Vo Anh Tuan, a student of Vo Minh Duc High School in TDM City, earned 9.5 points in history and was the student gaining the highest point in the group C with more than 26 points for the college entrance examination, and achieved his dream of becoming a history student of Ho Chi Minh City Social Sciences and Humanities University.
Dedication of teachers
Student’s achievements were brought largely by efforts of teachers. On the school year closing day of Hung Vuong Gifted High School, students pinned many flowers onto their teachers to thank for their teaching. Vo Thi Bich Hien, a literature teacher had the most flower number. She researched and improved teaching methods, such as: organizing special exercises in the form of scientific researches; Organizing group presentations, knowledge quick-tests; organizing extra-curricular activities. Always being dedicated to her career, she did her best to foster good students. More than 120 students trained by her won excellent student’s prizes. Many of them also won national prizes. Le Thanh Hai, who won national second prize, was one of them. "I was fortunate to study with enthusiastic teachers, including Ms. Hien, who blessed me with the most exquisite essence that she has accumulated, so that my talent can be sublimated”, said Hai.
Nguyen Thi Bich Nhuan, history teacher of Tan Phuoc Khanh high school (Tan Uyen town), is a devoted teachers for beloved students. Through her lessons, she educated students about patriotism, so she paid special attention to teaching, documenting, applying positive methods to prepare lectures to be lively and impressive. Every lesson of history is a story; she leads students from books to life and vice versa. She included stories about history, current situation, news in lessons to attracted students. Provincial students achieved high prizes in national contests with remarkable contribution of teacher Nhuan.
Speaking about good learning movement, Nguyen Hong Sang, Director of Department of Education and Training, evaluated in terms of facilities are limited compared to the requirements of teaching and learning, where teachers love the profession. It is difficult to invest, study in depth knowledge of subjects, devote all their energy to students, then there are certainly good students. The director of the department also reminded students need to define the process of self-striving, must be persistent, enduring, passionate and inspirational, have fun with the subject you have chosen, and also accept challenges of training process to achieve your goal.
