During the past 90 years, under the training and mentoring of the CPV and President Ho Chi Minh, theh Ho Chi MInh Communist Youth’s League constantly shows its role in the work of education, solidarity, gathering and caring for the youth. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth’s League (March 26, 1931 to March 26, 2021), the reporter of Binh Duong Newspaper had an interview with Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League about the imprints of Youth’s League and movement for children and adolescences in Binh Duong province.
- Can you review the highlights in the work of Youth’s League and youth movements in Binh Duong province in recent years, madam?
- The first highlight is that the traditional education and patriotism activities have been diversified in contents and forms by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth’s League of the province, especially the visual propaganda publications which have lively created a wide and strong spread throughout the delegations. Namely, the publication of "Models, works, constructions, typical examples, and advancement in learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in 2017-2019” is honored to be one of 50 youth works of following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings and selected to be commended nationwide in 2019. At the same time, the delegation's traditional educational endeavors from provincial to grassroots levels have been held simultaneously on important celebrations of the Party, the country and the delegation. Especially, the endeavors to commend the typical examples of the province over the past years have created impressions, emotions and motivation for young people to train and dedicate to the development of the homeland.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth’s League at all levels continued to exploit online communication channels and create the power to spread to a large number of Youth’s League members through the general websites and social networks. In particular, Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League website has maintained an average of more than 10,000 visits per day, Binh Duong Youth fanpage over 5,832 likes and 6,343 followers. Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League cooperated with Binh Duong Newspaper and Binh Duong Radio and Television Station to organize specialized courses and television channels about children and adolescences to promptly publish official information to readers, audiences, and listeners.
Another highlight of Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League organization is the constant accompanying with the youth, especially the young workers having difficult circumstances. Thereby, the delegation has created, proposed and implemented effectively large programs and projects to provide social security for young people. By the Solidarity Project that gathers youths from 2011-2020, the Standing Committee of Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League has established and maintained 1,861 associations with 58,035 members in 116 clubs, teams and groups. In order to encourage and timely support youths in difficult circumstances, the Youth’s Union - Association – Society and enterprises have set up a fund to support disadvantaged youths, the Talent Fund to support children in the province. Thereby, it has supported and helped thousands of students and youths by the amount of billions of VND.
Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League Standing Committee has organized many training courses and propaganda activities on administrative reforms, integration skills and knowledge about organization of external relations programs for young cadres, civil servants and public employees. At the same time, squads are formed to join hands in building provincial and district public administrative centers while implementing the activities of procedure guiding and question answering to help people who contact the administrative agencies.
Upholding the national traditions and father generations, Binh Duong's youth nowadays continue to make important contributions to the cause of national construction and defense and have mobilized thousands of young people to volunteer to the army services, showing their readiness to defend the nation. In addition, Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League continued to widely and effectively implement the program of the 3-color coalition; to organize youth volunteer squads and implement youth projects in remote and disadvantaged areas, and youth volunteering campaigns in summer, winter and spring; to organize the campaign "for the sake of the borders and islands".
In particular, during the joined efforts of Covid-19 preventing and control, the Youth’s League at all levels established more than 40 teams for epidemic prevention and control in some areas of the locality through days and nights helping the isolated areas along with the functional forces in organizing propaganda and guiding people to take measures for epidemic prevention and control at all times.
- For the time to come, what will Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League do to promote the achieved results and bring the work of the Youth’s League and youth movement in the province to more development, madam?
- The youths of Binh Duong are extremely proud to remember the merits of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh in promoting the traditions of the homeland and the Youth’s League organization through the generations of Youth’s League cadres and union. Accordingly, the Youth’s League at all levels in the province will continue to innovate the content and modes of operations in all fields from the education of the Youth’s League to the organization of Union construction; designing and organizing movements, activities close to the needs of young people in association with local socio-economic development, raising the rate of unity and youth gathering in Binh Duong.
At the same time, in order to implement the Law on Youth 2020 and the resolutions of the Party congress at all levels, Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League will proactively cooperate with relevant agencies and organizations to develop programs and projects, specifically to care, foster and promote the role of young people andcreate conditions for all young people in Binh Duong, especially young ones and students with difficult circumstances and disadvantaged youths to have many opportunities to develop, be confident and stick with the organization.
In addition to expanding the united front for youth gathering, the Youth’s League organization will continue to focus on implementing many solutions for build a strong organization and care for and educate children and adolescences, creating a solid source of development the delegation and introducing excellent union members to the Party for consideration and admission. Besides, Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League will strongly promote their role in supervising and criticizing the society regarding the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, State policies and laws related to children.
